About the Job:
The Analytic Data Capabilities team is looking to add a team member in the “data consultant” role with knowledge of Business Banking / Commercial Banking products, services & strategy. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional line of business teams and Key Technology & Operations teams to identify, develop and implement data solutions in service to analytic, modeling & reporting teams across KeyBank.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide business ownership of investments in the data supply chain
  • Serve as a data Subject Matter Expert on sources & uses of data to analytics practitioners
  • Understand data needs of analytics teams across KeyBank developing a relationship as a trusted advisor
  • Gather requirements from analytics practitioners to develop / enhance data assets - elicit requirements and create requirement documents
  • Translate business requirements to technical requirements and vice versa
  • Develop solution recommendations to meet data needs of analytic stakeholders
  • Proactively communicate progress and manage stakeholder / management expectations
  • Establish / maintain strong relationships and influence others to move toward a common vision or goal
  • Partner with Key Technology & Operations to build repository of external data assets / resources

  • Strong facilitation / Team Building / Teaming skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate a history of managing to and delivering quality results in tight timelines.
  • Basics of database design, data relationships and banking (data & analytics) use cases
  • Proficiency with data query tools
Required Experience:
  • BS or BA in marketing, technology, or related discipline
  • Project Management / BA certification is a plus
  • 2-5 years data analysis experience
  • 2-5 years BA experience, can be concurrent to data analysis experience
  • Experienced in leading small (2-5) person projectized efforts
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
