About the Position
The Corporate Events Coordinator position reports to Key’s Client Event Management Director. The Position works closely with the Director to plan, execute, evaluate, improve and effectively communicate conferences, client events and select sponsorships for Key’s Commercial Bank, Real Estate Capital, Institutional Bank and Enterprise Payments business units.
The role demands effective collaborative and communication skills to ensure that all areas of the Bank are aware of and given the opportunity to leverage client relationship-building opportunities associated with Key’s annual event schedule.

Essential Job Functions
  • Participate in the planning, execution, evaluation and continuous improvement of industry conferences, client events and sponsorships. Effectively communicate plans and program timelines to line of business management and representatives, client guests and any other internal and/or external parties.
  • Coordinate all details for assigned events. Includes, but is not limited to, initiating start of work meetings, following stated event guidelines and procedures, venue selection and coordination, transportation, and food and beverage orders. Facilitate the creation of event signage, marketing collateral, internal briefing documents, produce name badges and any other components as needed.
  • Responsible for adherence to assigned event budgets. Includes establishing preliminary estimates, reviewing related vendor contracts/estimates and final invoices to ensure accuracy. Prepare accurate reconciliation of final event expenses in a timely manner.
  • Assist with post-event evaluations and analyses as directed by Client Event Management Director. Maintain relevant event data points / summaries to allow for historic event results tracking and determine ROI.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing team, Corporate Compliance, advertising agencies and other vendor partners to ensure all client event elements are within corporate brand standards and adhere to Key Compliance’s policies and procedures (where applicable).
  • Proactively research new trends in the meeting and events space; recommend unique and innovative ideas to differentiate Key from its competitors.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Client Event Management Director.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience preparing and managing event project plans and corresponding elements.
  • Possesses a professional and poised demeanor as required for interactions with KeyBank executive leaders and C-level clients and prospects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines, budgets and competing and/or changing priorities.
  • Service oriented and able to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization and with vendors/suppliers.
  • Ability to travel overnight frequently, including long distances, required. (Estimate 6-12 trips per year).
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare presentations, reports and analyze market research data.
  • Critical thinker with a bias for action.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
  • Self-starter with ability to work well with minimal direction/supervision, at times.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of Microsoft office tools.
  • Working knowledge of marketing communications/social media mix.
  • Working knowledge of Cvent registration, salesforce or marketing cloud a plus
