JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:

Position Title: Compliance Analyst III

JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE)

Reports to the Compliance Manager of KPB Risk Management

Supports Personal Trust, Institutional Asset Services, and Investment Management with regulatory and operational risk issues. Assists LOB management with both LOB initiatives and Corporate initiatives that affect the LOB

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Primarily responsible for management and monitoring of the administrative and investment review process
  • Independently provide advice/consultation to the LOB regarding complex compliance and risk issues
  • Effectively interact with regulatory examiners, e.g., addressing examination issues/findings and discussing compliance and risk processes and policies
  • Work with the LOB to resolve internal audit and regulatory findings
  • Assist with updating the LOB Risk Assessment, as necessary
  • Assist with GRC testing for Key Private Bank (Trust and Banking)
  • Perform reviews and on-site visits of Trust field offices. Some travel may be required
  • Perform monitoring of LOB activities to evaluate control effectiveness
  • Serve as non-voting member on LOB committees
  • Perform administrative functions, as assigned
  • Other duties, as assigned

MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS

Participate in various LOB and Corporate Committees

Assist LOB with ad hoc requests that arise on a day-to-day basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree or equivalent banking experience. Fiduciary law or regulatory compliance experience a significant plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least one of the following:

  • Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA)
  • Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS)
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of personal trust preferred
  • Knowledge of industry, including laws and regulations preferred
  • Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office products, databases, data mining and reporting (Cognos) and report-writer experience
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Self-motivation/initiative
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound understanding of compliance and operational risks
  • Strong research skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work with high-level management and deal with complex issues
  • Relationship building skills
