Job Description

The Corporate Communications department at Key is looking for seeking a career as a professional communicator with the experience to:
  • Provide comprehensive, bank-wide media monitoring services and compile a daily roundup of media coverage every morning for an executive audience
  • Support the creation of materials and provide logistical support related to the quarterly earnings communications reporting process
  • Co-ordinate external distribution of news releases and media advisories
  • Compile targeted media and communications research and provide analysis as needed
  • Develop briefing documents in support of executive events
  • Write and produce compelling internal and external communication materials, including briefings and presentations related to a variety of projects, initiatives and announcements
  • Work comfortably within a team-based, deadline-driven environment while managing several tasks simultaneously. Comfort working with a team across geographies and time-zones is also a consideration.
  • Maintain contracts and vendor relationships related to media monitoring services
  • 1- 2 years’ experience in a corporate, consulting or public sector communications environment, with demonstrated experience in assisting with communications that drive business results – experience can include internships and volunteer work
  • A keen news sense, coupled with meticulous attention to detail
  • University or community college education in communication, public relations, journalism or related field
  • Superior process management and organizational skills and ability to deliver high quality work under pressure
  • Exceptional writing skills and a strong ability to self-start and multitask
  • Demonstrated experience in exercising judgment in dealing with sensitive situations
  • Proven track record of communicating at a large, publicly-traded company is a definite asset – as is media relations experience
  • Experience in the financial services industry is an asset
