Job Description

Be a part of the exciting and dynamic Commercial Services and Data Team. We deliver and support technical solutions for a variety of FinTech partners and Commercial clients; and we are responsible for solutions, requirements and support for the Enterprise Commercial Payment Data Marts.

This position will include the following diverse opportunities and responsibilities:

  • Identifying opportunities and prioritizing changes to improve production environment
  • Designing solutions, creating technical specifications and executing changes for production improvements and/or project deliverables
  • Building estimates for projects in ideation/proposal
  • Coordinating and tracking effort from interfacing and dependent teams
  • Some project management responsibilities – including managing small/mid-size budgets; task plans; release coordination, etc.
  • Working closely with team lead and line of business on service/API strategy – tools, processes, enablement
  • Working closely with team lead and line of business on data strategy and direction
  • Overseeing the priorities of dedicated support team members
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert on the services, data, and data flow for Commercial Bank
  • Providing guidance and facilitating escalation of support incidents as required
  • Ensuring scorecards, metrics, and monitoring is enabled
  • Working directly with clients (both internal and external) and vendors
  • Analyzing and revising system documentation
  • Assisting in all phases of the application lifecycle
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience building SOAP/REST web services using Java Technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OOP and SOA principles, and design patterns
  • Experience with designing integrations; solutioning complex systems; working with Enterprise Architecture
  • Experience with data mapping, modelling, and analyzing data
  • Experience with Commercial Banking products and data
  • Experience working with third party vendors, Fintech companies, software vendors and external customers
  • Ability to concisely express complex, technical workflows and integrations to wide audiences
  • Experience creating technical diagrams and specifications
  • Databases: Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, Hadoop, Google Cloud
  • Experience with ETL / Abinitio; SQL; metadata
  • Experience with File Transmissions; OpenText/Bizlink; SFTP
  • Experience with monitoring tools: Splunk, Elastic, Kibana
  • Familiarity with Java 11 & Upwards (including new features)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of J2EE server technologies including XML, JMS, and JAX-WS
  • Experience managing small/mid-size technology projects
  • Experience working in large, geographically disbursed teams
  • Experience with Messaging, pub-sub architecture/technology
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile and Waterfall Methodology
  • Experience working with ORM technologies such as JPA, JTA and JDBC transactions
  • Experience working on High-Volume, High-Availability Transactional applications
  • Experience with phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with application development and implementation, including the following: Java, Oracle, DB2, SQL
  • Knowledge of and experience with implementing open source software
  • Knowledge of software testing and formal software modeling concepts
  • Knowledge of hardware and operating systems (Unix/Linux server platforms) including system architectures, network infrastructures, and system administration utilities
  • Experience with software development and build tools like Jira, Git, CLI, Jenkins and XLR
