Job Description

*This position can be remote with location flexibility across the United States.

Essential Job Functions

  • Remain current on knowledge of federal appraisal regulations, USPAP and bank policies.
  • Communicate and interpret all appraisal policies to line and credit officers
  • Responsible for ordering and review of commercial real estate appraisals for a wide range of transaction complexity within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Perform USPAP Standard 3 reviews and administrative reviews of non-complex commercial properties.
  • Assist the Regional Team Leader with special projects as necessary. Work on special projects with teammates.
  • Provide the line and credit functions, as requested, market resource information and trends that effect commercial property values and market conditions as part of transaction pre-approval due diligence to include on-site visits with both line and credit officers as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest level of appraisal proficiency and market knowledge through the attendance of seminars and continuing education classes.

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of five years of pertinent commercial real estate appraisal experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate is required
  • Must have appropriate State appraisal certification
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess basic competency in all software typically in the industry such as: Microsoft Word and Excel, Office 365, Argus and RIMS or other appraisal database tracking system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous review experience
  • Associate Member and advanced coursework or MAI appraisal designation with the Appraisal Institute
  • LIHTC expertise and Community Development experience
