Job Description

Job Functions:

  • Drives contract lifecycle from modifications through completion of the negotiation process, and/or contract execution. Manages contract modification control process and related correspondence requiring legal input.
  • Define business and legal risk related to contract modifications and communicate those risks to appropriate internal decisions-makers for discussion and resolution.
  • Interact with various internal partners effectively to address legal, compliance, and risk questions.
  • Assists on responses to RFPs or customer terms & conditions as needed.
  • Assist with providing training on compliance/risk related topics on an as-needed basis.
  • Regularly monitor the competitive landscape to understand and document best practices, ongoing innovation, and industry benchmarks.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to the EP business development and partner leadership team.

Manage continuous improvement efforts to simplify contract templates and operational processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school in the United States.
  • Minimum 2 or more years of regulatory, compliance, operational risk or legal experience, including banking experience.
  • Experience in drafting policies, procedure, and other documentation.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and work with representatives and other partners at all levels of seniority.
  • Demonstrated horizontal collaboration across multiple stakeholders with internal partners including sales, product, legal, compliance, and other internal and external partners.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high-level projects and competing priorities with little supervision.
  • Strong client facing communication skills with a focus on building collaborative relationships and the ability to promote inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills and experiences to achieve results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to effectively partner with peers and senior management in driving change.
