The Checking Engagement Product Manager reports to the Consumer Payments Engagement Leader and is accountable for management of Debit Card and Checking engagement in Key’s Retail Bank. The role owns reporting and forecasting of the Debit Card portfolio and also supports reporting and forecasting of the Consumer Checking portfolio. Areas of focus will include management of key performance measurements, end-to-end process improvement, optimization of vendor relationships and client experience strategy. This role will assist other Product Managers with planning, developing, and implementing checking engagement programs and managing current checking and debit card products..


  • Accountable for overall Debit Card portfolio management, including P&L ownership, forecasting and delivery of financials and reports. Sets and manages to performance drivers and outcomes (financiall and behavioral).
  • Supports overall Checking portfolio management, including P&L reporting, forecasting. Manage profitability drivers of consumer checking to ensure they meet profitability hurdles and fiscal plans.
  • Prepare monthly business reviews to highlight LOB performance and recommendations to senior management.
  • Responsible for third party management of vendors, along with risk mgmt controls associated with services.
  • Develop initial and ongoing product, service and third party vendor risk assessments, and manage reviews.
  • Works closely wth the Debit Card Product Manager and the Checking Portfolio Product Manager to develop and implement strategy to increase client retention and statisfaction.
  • Enhance existing checking and debit card products and bring new products/services/channels to market based on business strategy, industry experience, market analysis, customer analysis/needs identification.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Sales and Marketing, Client Experience, Branch, Call Center, Operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance to ensure timely delivery of debit card and checking projects
  • Ensure full adherence with product policies to ensure all legal and compliance obligations are met; oversight of consumer disclosures; conducts risk management testing and remediation efforts as appropriate.
  • Educate and train branch and contact center teammates regarding products and services – responsible for driving the development and deployment of all sales and marketing content..

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in product management, finance or analytics preferred
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with experience forecasting outcomes (financial or behavioral)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience manipulating data via SAS/SQL/R preferred
  • Proven ability to drive projects from concept to rollout in cooperation with various business units and third parties
  • Self-starter and team player with a structured approach to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables
  • Understanding of Retail Banking products and segment needs
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and prioritize delivery based on key objectives.
