Job Description

  • In this position you are responsible for verifying the cash for incoming customer deposits and balancing at the end of each day. Duties include:
  • Verifying cash and coin received for each deposit to the stated or declared amount.
  • Research any differences and make needed corrections for input errors or any needed adjustments to customer accounts.
  • Prepare any necessary G/L tickets and proof work.
  • Maintain responsibility for all assigned deposits.
  • Follow department control and security policies for securing cash, transferring cash and coin and other related funcations.
  • Maintain a neat and order teller station. Balance within 30 minutes at the end of the day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to stand at a teller counter or to sit on an elevated chair.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and carry trays of work and coin bags to teller station.
  • Ability to balance.
  • Prior teller or cashier experience and PC/keyboard experience a plus.
