About the Job
Banking Analytics Consultants will provide analytical and reporting support towards the design of client strategies and initiatives for various lines of business including Consumer/ Small Business, Commercial, and Key Private Bank.

You will:

  • Gain a working knowledge of analytical tools to assist business partners in utilizing fact-based decisions to reach revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain computer coding, using SAS to perform analyses and create insights.
  • Perform data mining initiatives and assist Consultants and Senior Consultants in the development of various analytic tools.
  • Work under limited direction/supervision.
  • Analyze, summarize, interpret complex data; move from findings to conclusions.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize strategic analytical tools and models to gain greater insight into client behavior, value, potential, and risk.
  • Support Consultants and Senior Consultants to quantify client strategies by conducting exploratory and validating analyses to support fact-based decisions.
  • Provide analytical support to Consultants and Senior Consultants for client strategies and initiatives for assigned segments as required by Client Insights and/or Segment Strategists.
  • Gain working knowledge of various analytical tools to support business results.
  • Conduct analyses with limited guidance to support segments to drive activities.
  • Provide select Ad Hoc reporting as required by Client Insights/Segment Strategists.
  • Transition reporting requirements to Data Management for development of routine reporting.
  • Utilize metrics and administer routine and less complex analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of decisions. Provide querying and programming expertise necessary to extract information for data analysis.
  • Conduct analysis on a variety of data and research. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to Client Insights Manager and business partners.
  • Use data sources and skills to research.
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or other related field)
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and data mining concepts and approaches
  • Proven ability to interpret results of the analyses
  • Results oriented, self-starter with ability to work with general direction
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
