Job Description

Experienced Indirect Auto lending professional with a minimum of 3 years management experience. Ability to enhance Dealer relationships through effective communication of credit decisions to dealer partners. Exhibits strong leadership skills and product knowledge when interacting with customers, fellow employees and senior management. Familiar with various forms of credit scoring and pricing models.

Key Responsibilities:

Train new employees on KeyBanks operating procedures and credit guidelines. Train all staff in new procedures and guidelines as needed.

Maintain sound knowledge of market activity and business/industry practices as they impact credit quality, pricing and origination activity.

Review loan applications applying bank guidelines and consumer lending fundamentals in order to approve, restructure or deny applications.

Partner with collections to resolve dealer collection issues.

Coordinate with Operations and Funding to examine and evaluate proper documentation and to evaluate that all bank stipulations and requirements are sufficient to fund loans.

Evaluate performance of lending staff based upon established reporting methodology.

Interact with management team and Credit Risk department to ensure business line profitability.

Actively participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings to communicate/share trends, policy and procedure, updates and other pertinent information with team members and managers.


• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience.

• Minimum 3 years of Indirect Auto Underwriting experience.

• Ability to work in fast paced environment.

• Ability to work the most complex scenarios.

• Ability to interpret information around collateral add-ons and equipment.

• Mitigate risk on loans exhibiting exception criteria.

• General understanding of required documents necessary to fund a loan.

• Thorough knowledge of State Law Contracts for TIL, and related disclosures.

• Ability to development relationships with dealer network on an ongoing basis.

• Ability to sell decisions that adversely affect a dealership’s ability to sell paper to Key.
