Job Description


  • Exhibit technical leadership by:
    • Developing clean, extensible, maintainable, and testable code and ongoing support for Hogan applications
    • Providing technical oversight of other developers; collaborating and communicating effectively and efficiently with other developers on the team to achieve the highest quality code & product
    • Mentoring other developers on the team in software development best practices
    • Monitoring and sharing emerging technologies technologies and trends
    • Delivering software/ solution architecture, occasionally partnering with the Enterprise Architecture team
    • Embracing the established standards and best practices that currently exist for Hogan applications, and contributing ideas in these areas to keep our technology moving forward
  • Drive business performance by:
    • Serving as a critical member of the Consumer Bank technology team
    • Participating in modernization capabilities
    • Designing Integration to external systems to provide more modern capabilities
    • Hollowing out the core – extracting functions out of Hogan
    • Exploring and implementing new product feature/functions
  • Manage projects and programs effectively by:
    • Developing detailed specs for changes being implemented, including milestones, testing, and implementation plans
    • Reporting status and work progress to project manager and technical lead as requested
    • Creating technical documentation as required in the form of workflow and technical flow diagrams, technical specifications, and project artifacts
    • Addressing program defects or application data issues identified during day to day application support rotations.


  • At least seven years of mainframe development experience, including direct experience:
    • Coding under Hogan Umbrella in a VSAM environment
    • Integrated Deposits application work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a lead development role.
  • Strong communication skills – collaboration partners include technology and line of business personnel


  • Experience with a Hogan environment where integration happens through services
  • Experience with RPM and Customer application coding
