Job Description:
The Analyst III position will be a member of the Bankruptcy, Probate, Admin Support, and Litigation (BPSL) team. This analyst is accountable for testing and implementing controls, enhancing procedures, and developing improved workflow for the BPSL team. The analyst will work closely with BPSL management, compliance, legal, and internal/external review groups to ensure our controls and procedures adhere to regulations. This role is accountable for continuous improvement and will serve as a back-up for testing functions performed by Quality Control Analysts. This individual will be responsible for report generation and validation required for the various branches of BPSL. The analyst will assist with projects and remediation efforts as they arise.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Partner with Change Control team to perform yearly review of procedures
  • Coordinate with BPSL specialists, analysts, and management to develop new procedures and controls based on changing regulations and business needs
  • Complete validation of Admin Support monthly and quarterly workflow reports
  • Handle statistical requests for BPSL including report generation, validation, and interpretation
  • Partner with Second Line of Defense and management to remediate findings
  • Partner with Analytics to develop new reports to provide efficiencies
  • Follow up on remediations performed by bankruptcy specialists and work through any potential disputes of Quality Control testing
  • Serve as back-up for process testing
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and Key partners regarding data and analytic needs
  • Support all areas of BPSL as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • 2 or 4 year college degree; or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to handle change
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to recognize issues AND formulate approaches to solve the problem

Desired Qualifications:
  • Financial services experience
  • Bankruptcy or litigation background
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations surrounding banking, bankruptcy, and probate
