The ECP team uses a hands-on, consultative approach coupled with a deep payments expertise across a broad range of industries and an unwavering focus on risk management, to deliver actionable and tailored advice to our clients and ensure that they have the optimal, innovative payments and treasury management solution set to meet their business needs.

The AP Solution Consultant plays a critical role in delivering electronic B2B payment solutions (commercial card, AP automation and integrated payables) and industry expertise to our clients, driving sales and revenue growth across the client base. The ideal candidate will partner with the ECP Sales Advisors and Product Managers to improve and promote these products across KeyBank’s sales process. The Solution Consultant is also responsible for generating revenue across specific market segments for technically complex solutions, meeting annual shared revenue goals and sales activity targets. This position has the be ability to be remote and, ideally, the candidate will be located in the Mountain or Pacific time zones to account for coverage of clients in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Serve as the primary electronic B2B payables solutions subject matter expert and perform product demonstrations either remotely or on-site at a client/prospect’s location
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop specific client acquisition strategies
  • Partner and strategize with Sales Advisors on new lead generation
  • Leverage sales tools and pitch materials when meeting with clients to drive the financial operations and solution discussion
  • Follow up with clients during the sales process to provide information and advance the decision making process
  • Understand client needs and industry trends; synthesize and communicate to internal and external partners to ensure implementation of product/solution enhancements and updates
  • Leverage solution expertise to assist with internal (Sales Advisors) and external (client) training initiatives regarding current and newly implemented solutions
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue quotas and activity objectives as defined by the Leadership Team.
  • Assist with responses to requests for proposals
  • Professionally represent KeyBank and its offerings. This includes the ability to create customer excitement by demonstrating to customers how to use KeyBank’s electronic B2B payables solutions and their value.
  • Support a team environment by sharing best practices across both the Solution Consultant and Sales Advisor teams and maintaining a winning mindset.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or information technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Capable of building effective relationships with senior decision makers in organizations of varying size.
  • Ability to understand strategic priorities, business needs, and opportunities to sell electronic B2B payables solutions.
  • Ability to influence client decision-making-process and drive clients to purchase the KeyBank electronic B2B payables solutions that match their needs.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, especially in regards to the electronic B2B payment industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to effectively manage time resulting in maximized productivity.


  • Experience with electronic B2B payment solutions product management and/or sales preferred.
  • MBA preferred
