Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for a variety of responsibilities in an operating environment. Works both independently and as a member of cross-functional teams to perform business, data and accounting analysis in support of the proper accounting, reconciliation and reporting for a range of responsibilities which may include month end close and consolidation process, general and specialty accounting.

General & Specialty Accounting/Month-end Close

Supports the Parent, Bank and Non-Bank accounting and corporate consolidation functions by preparing general ledger journal entries, reports and reconciliations
Performs accounting activities such as preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and analyzes financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries
Perform accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
Interface effectively with other areas of the company in order to proactively meet month end, quarter end and year end commitments.
Other duties as assigned


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2 years’ experience in a business environment performing Accounting functions


3 years experience performing Accounting functions


Prioritize time to meet the demands of month-end close and other deadlines.
Driven to meet client’s needs, focused on client service


Personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, MSA general ledger, IBM TMI, MircroStategy, View Direct, Investran System, Fidelity PSW System, Hyland AFRM
