ABOUT THE JOB

Under the direction of the Portfolio Manager, the person in this position is responsible for assisting the Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Account Managers in servicing a portfolio of loans with a variety of collateral types in the most timely, efficient and responsible manner in order to protect the interest of investors and clients. This is accomplished within the parameters of the servicing agreements, loan documents, statement of work, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in monitoring portfolios in order to ensure compliance with specific requirements pursuant to contractual servicing agreements. (i.e. Managing POAs/Servicing Agreements/Correspondent Agreements).
  • Assist in preparation of Risk Ratings and Asset Summary Reports for various clients.
  • Assist in preparation of securitization data tapes and verify data integrity in accordance with Lender’s needs for secondary marketing (if applicable).
  • Assist teammates in communication with internal and external Special Servicers, Investor, or Lender on high profile loans and clients (i.e. lease reviews, draw request and ad hoc reports).
  • Assist in preparation of comprehensive loan reviews, asset status reports and risk ratings.
  • Maintain and track information for Rating Agency Reporting, Construction loan tracking, Life Company tracking and Client roll up reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring servicing functions in accordance with the loan documents (delinquencies, maturities, payoff processing, suspense, tax/insurance payments, financial analysis and financials collected report, etc).
  • Perform seaches in Lexis Nexis, Reis, Costar and other market data base searches.
  • Input and maintain loan and collateral data in the loan servicing system and KCMWeb.
  • Attend New Business meeting, review and monitor the Pending conversion spreadsheet and data tapes on bulk loan conversions.
  • Assist with new business pitches to prospective clients.
  • Service a small portfolio of loans.
  • Understanding of the regulations, guidelines and policies that govern the applicable investor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administer all borrower inquiries and requests.
  • Assist with special projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year college degree or experience commensurate with position grade
  • Good organizational skills. Must be attentive to detail and comfortable with a high level or repetitive tasks.
  • Willing to be flexible and adaptive.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to deal with clients and coworkers at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel as required (if applicable)
  • Ability to pass a federal background check (if applicable)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in commercial real estate mortgage loan servicing and/or underwriting
  • Real estate law, appraisal, accounting/auditing, property management experience
  • Experience with McCracken/Strategy loan servicing system
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Legal document review and interpretation

EQUIPMENT USED/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires the ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment, communicate with customers and/or other employees.

TRAINING REQUIRED

  • Complete computer based corporate course requirements (anti-money laundering, anti-tying, corporate security, fair lending, fraud awareness, privacy, regulation W, etc.).
  • Designated continuing education and related courses throughout the year
  • On-the-job and industry training decided on a case-by-case basis.
  • MBA Property Inspection Training (if applicable)
