The Senior Procurement Analyst is an individual contributor role reporting to a category or support function manager within Key’s Corporate Procurement group. The Senior Procurement Analyst is a shared resource typically supporting a manager and a small group of Strategists. Under minimal supervision, responsibilities for a Senior Procurement Analyst include: reviewing, analyzing, summarizing and interpreting relevant data for assigned category or support team, supporting Procurement Management and Strategists in the development and execution of identified strategies and preparing and presenting information/findings in a concise and understandable format. Success criteria include: strong analytical acumen, project management skills, ability to work independently, problem-solving and sound judgement, presentation skills, collaboration with team members at multiple levels and ability to establish reputation as a knowledgeable and responsive team player.


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years minimum professional experience
  • Ability to analyze, summarize and interpret complex data and information; can move logically from findings to conclusions
  • Can prepare and present data/findings in a concise and understandable format ; via documentation and stand-up presentation skills
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Quickly grasps new ideas, techniques and insights
  • Detail-oriented; ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Possesses basic project management skills – can build simple or routine project plan
  • Demonstrated strong client focus; is efficient and delivers in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently on relatively complex matters with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to solve basic problems; escalate as necessary
  • Comfort level working with diverse team at various levels within Procurement and mid-to senior level LOB Leaders
  • Baseline level of functional/banking knowledge; understands client’s strategy and priorities
  • Highly skilled with MicroSoft Office products including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Analyze, summarize and present relevant data for assigned category or support team
  • Conduct basic analysis on data which may include: spend, market data, pricing, volume etc. to contribute to strategy development and execution
  • Summarize, interpret and present findings in a concise and understandable format
  • Utilize strong written communication skills in the development and delivery of presentations, email communications, etc.
  • Leverage advanced skills with MicroSoft tools including; Excel, Powerpoint, Word as needed to deliver information
  • Proactively update and manage department tracking tools and data repository as needed

Support Category Managers and Strategists in the development and execution of identified category or LOB strategy
  • Provide day-to-day assistance to Category Managers and Strategists in assigned area in support of business objectives
  • Orchestrate, organize and prioritize assignments to support needs of the group and/or business
  • Develop basic project plan as needed
  • Ask insightful questions; demonstrate ability to solve basic issues/problems that arise
  • Use judgement and escalate issues/ exceptions as needed
  • Support Strategists in monitoring vendor’s adherence to established performance metrics
  • Understand client/LOB strategy for assigned category
  • Demonstrate proficiency with bank and department-specific systems

Develop effective and collaborative relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Category Managers, Strategists and Analysts within and outside assigned functional area
  • Demonstrate strong ability to partner with Procurement Support teams including: Legal, Solutions, Third-Party Risk Mgmt, etc.
  • Act as team player open to participating on project teams and supporting other areas of the business as needed
