ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)Individuals in this position perform complex and detailed analyses of accounts to determine appropriate short/long term actions to minimize incidents of default or loss within company and legal guidelines. Specialists manage assigned work through process milestones, while ensuring adherence to all internal policies, investor guidelines, federal and state regulatory/legal guidelines. Specialists routinely and productively interact with internal and external business partners (neighboring LOBs, attorneys, third party vendors, etc.) who complete activities in support of KeyBank’s Real Estate Default line of business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Apply in‐depth foreclosure experience to the monitoring, tracking, and execution of the foreclosure process for loans in assigned portfolio
- Maintain knowledge of and actively adhere to the principals and practices of federal, state, and local requirements regarding foreclosures
- Maintain knowledge of and actively adhere to investor and insurer guidelines, as applicable
- Ensure all foreclosure items are worked daily and completed within the allotted timeframe
- Review Signature Required documents and Affidavits for accuracy and request revisions, as necessary
- Prepare and provide Payoff and Reinstatement quotes to foreclosure attorneys
- Prepare Bidding Instructions in a timely manner according to state guidelines and loan type
- Prepare loans for Foreclosure Sale in compliance with OCC standards
- Ensure all information required by attorneys is promptly provided by monitoring LPS intercoms and emails
- Work with business partners, internal and external, to ensure proper follow‐up on foreclosure actions and items
- Escalate to management any items related to timeline, communication, or other urgent issues, as appropriate
- Comply with all policies and procedures as written
- Meet and exceed minimum individual & departmental goals and service level agreements
- Participate in and facilitate information-sharing with department manager, business partners, and peers in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure understanding
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Minimum two years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist or equivalent default banking/loan servicing experience
- Proven ability to stay focused in a continuous process flow and keep pace within the team
- Superior verbal and written communications skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with MSP and BKFS LoanSphere
- Working knowledge of investor default servicing guidelines
