Job Description

This is a virtual/remote position that can be performed from most states within the United States. The work schedule will be 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST.
ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)
Under limited supervision, this position is primarily focused on execution of complex processing, operational and/or administrative work following defined and sometimes undefined procedures. The position is responsible for following established guidelines to process new commercial account opening requests for the Business Banking and Middle Market Line of Business. Individuals in this position should form a strong understanding of all deposit products and associated processes including but not limited to account maintenance and impacts to ancillary services. The Senior Specialist is responsible for following established guidelines to identify and resolve problems, escalating issues as needed, and contributing to work flow or process change and redesign.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
With little to no instruction, administers complex procedures, analysis, tasks and reporting for filing, recording, processing, servicing, recording, and/or organization of documentation associated with a DDA opening, servicing and maintenance
Reviews and ensures proper documentation or procedures are used for complex activities and checks the work of less experienced employees
Identifies and resolves complex issues that do not have established guidelines. May provide service in relation complex inquiries, service requests, suggestions and complaints from customers
Uses independence of thought to solve complex problems and should be known as the subject matter expert by others.
Recommends and implements programs to solve complex issues, contributes to workflow or process change and redesign, and forms a strong understanding of the specific product or process
Accountable for complex reporting and analysis requests
Organizes, records, process, services the production of various activities of the team.
Is fully proficient in duties and works under limited to no supervision
Is able to operate effectively with clients and internal partners and is able to interpret needs and respond clearly in what is frequently an environment of unstructured communication
Adheres to and supports Key’s compliance culture. Acts as a resource to the Team for all deposit related compliance matters. Knowledgeable about applicable federal, state and compliance regulations., including the BSA/AML program, USA Patriot ACT, OFAC and related due diligence.
Coordinates set-up of new and maintenance or closing of existing deposit accounts
Identifies and assists in resolving documentation issues affecting client service and risk management.
General product knowledge and ability to identify referral opportunities for partner products and services.
Responds to routine and complex client inquiries and resolves/completes service requests for DDA and refers to internal partners for related service needs. Promptly provides requested information for GRC testing and other internal/external audits.

MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS
Proactively identifies process improvements to continuously enhance client service and documentation quality. Assists with other projects as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Minimum two years related job experience; preferably in banking.
Knowledge of deposit documentation and related client servicing.
Previous experience with commercial banking support functions, and overall servicing of commercial banking clients.
Excellent inter-personal skills
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Experience & Education:
3+ years of experience with a strong knowledge of the business.
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. College degree preferred
Works well with others in a fully developed team environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Proficient in 10-Key, able to perform with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
Proven ability to handle monetary/ processing functions independently
Solid knowledge of Accounting principles
Good knowledge of banking policies, procedures and governmental regulations
Ability to perform complex research activities to a successful conclusion
Provides world class customer service to internal and external customers through total adherence to the Key Values
Proven ability to stay focused in a continuous process flow and keep pace in high volume production environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of Key’s DDA policies, processes, products and systems.
Working knowledge of the DDA systems, Hogan, BAR, DAX
Familiar with SalesForce platform
Excellent judgement and decision making skills, demonstrated leadership skills
Strong analytical, research and problem resolution skills
Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications making connections and utilizing resources to draw conclusions, solve complex challenges
Advanced knowledge of banking policies, procedures, government regulations
Ability to perform complex scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance functions
Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to handle most customer service inquires and diffuse difficult customer situations independently
Ability to work with limited to no supervision in decision making
