Job Description

  • Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area.
  • Works independently; may be asked to instruct or coach other business analysts.
  • Under general direction, responsible for performing complex research and analysis to support business operations and presenting findings to manager or project leader.
  • Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
  • Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations and communicates with other departments as necessary.
  • May perform special projects upon request and oversee the work of less experienced Business Analysts.
  • Bachelor's degree with more than 5 years of experience, or equivalent work experience within the consumer retail banking industry
  • Demonstrated business and technical knowledge of respective business unit in creating integrated solutions.
  • Proven ability in the successful execution of essential job functions within a specific project.
  • Proven knowledge of consumer retail banking (could include retail branch operations, incentive program management and/or sales).
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative partnerships among the business unit and internal partners.
  • Experience in analysis, basic statistical analysis
  • Skilled with analytic and data mining tools, such as Tableau, SAS or other comparable software to analyze and visualize data concepts
  • Able to bring together disparate data models to perform analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized and flexible
  • Strong research skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to work independently and jointly in unstructured environments in a self-directed way
  • Ability to take a leadership role on projects and with business unit
  • Experience in research and analysis of data, market needs, and customer issues
  • Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements,
  • Experience working closely with team members during development and product launch
  • Negotiation skills
