This is a newly created position given the growing needs of data analytics, customer CRM and test and learn strategies. The Senior Analyst of Pricing & Strategy will be responsible for conducting specific analytics projects to understand the impacts of price tests and competitive pricing dynamics. The incumbent will develop data requests, pull data from the appropriate sources and then analyze the data to understand pre and post test results. This will lead to the incumbent formulating recommendations and new pricing strategies in order to continue the learning process on pricing and to grow the bottom line. In this work, the incumbent will partner cross-functionally with the Marketing and Software Engineering teams to design and implement new pricing tools and best practices within our digital platforms. The incumbent will also assist in leading capital markets activities including securitizations and support the team in managing capital markets processes at Laurel Road. The position reports to the Head of Pricing & Strategy for Laurel Road.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter looking to learn and grow and should have experience working with data sets and conducting statistical analyses. Investment or corporate finance experience is also a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct pricing research and support the development of new price tests with data-driven insights.
  • Support leaders in providing updates on pricing and competitive positioning within the market
  • Further develop, document, and implement pricing and capital markets processes
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, and Compliance to develop new pricing products and tools for the end-user such as loan calculators
  • Assist in the securitization process, such as ensuring strong coordination among investment bankers, counsel, rating agencies, accountants, and teams at Laurel Road/Key
  • Support the team in building financial models to assess pricing impacts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a quantitative research, financial, investment, or consultant role
  • Experience conducing statistical analysis and working with data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player who can build strong working relationships, collaborate effectively across different teams and multiple stakeholder groups, and levels of leadership.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Creative and solution-oriented problem solver, with a strong customer focus
  • Experience coding in SAS or similar language is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree required
