Job Description

The portfolio analyst is a second line of defense position with responsibility for analytics and quality assurance. Oversight includes Analytics and Reporting, adherence to Credit Policy and Guidelines, Portfolio Asset Quality Trends and Deep Dive work to review/challenge LOB strategies.

• Serve as strategic input to first line of defense to inform strategy and risk appetite.
• Learn various functions of credit risk management
• Develop presentations in PowerPoint to synthesize second line of defense analysis and action plan
• Develop and maintain portfolio and new business monitoring and Asset Quality reporting to inform Senior Management and Line of Business.
• Maintain product specific datasets for use by Payments Risk teammates.

• A minimum of one year previous experience in financial services preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics or related field
• Must possess superior analytical skills and problem solving multi-dimensional problems for credit, underwiring or portfolio underwriting.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
• Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel including the ability to create and use pivot tables and prepare charts and graphs.
• Professional demeanor to interact with senior product managers and working groups.
