Job Description

Quantitative Modeling Associate to work in Cleveland, OH (multiple positions): Perform model validation exercises on models. Conduct independent validations on CCAR and CECL loss forecasting models, Anti Money Laundry and OFAC models, Fraud models, Origination Scorecard models, Behavioral Scorecard models and Marketing models and other models. Use statistical tools SAS, R, Excel, Matlab and Python. Assess model’s conceptual framework, technology soundness, input data and variables, outputs, and model implementation. Create challenge models and design quantitative testing to review model performance periodically as outlined by internal standards. Prepare written reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and guidelines, whether or not there are significant findings. Perform other “Second Line of Defense” responsibilities of model validators. Works closely with “Model Risk Governance” team through the model review/validation process. Communicate findings and associated model risks to “Line of Business” and other model stakeholders. Develop and maintain effective internal and external partnerships with team members, model owners, and model stakeholders.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Statistics/Finance/Mathematics/Economics/Agriculture and Resource Economics/Mathematical Finance (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as six (6) months in job or job related experience to include use of statistical tools R and Python; assess model’s conceptual framework, technology soundness, input data and variables, outputs, and model implementation; prepare written reports. Suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience may have been gained before, during or after degree. Full-time position at 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
