Incumbent works with technical and business personnel to enhance and support state-of-the-art Security Authentication software. Analyzes, identifies and implements application processing, production implementation and system alerting improvements.

Job Description:
The Lead Programmer Analyst will support several Information and Physical Security Applications. In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for the status, health, security and operations of assigned applications which include, but not limited to: patching, configuration, coding, testing, monitoring, planning, estimating, defects, bug fixes and documentation. The ideal candidate will consult on projects as assigned and have direct interactions with clients and 3rd Party Vendors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining current certifications or skill and knowledge and training associated with their assigned applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and validating security controls and documentation on all assigned applications.

Essential Job Functions:
Production Support Role:

  • Monitor security authentication applications and troubleshoot connectivity problems in a 24X7 on-call production support rotation
  • Work on projects with delivery and development teams to ensure coding standards are met, security requirements are satisfied and transition documentation provided prior to receiving support handoff of new applications
  • Work with Incident Management/Problem Management teams to address and resolve all open incidents within the agreed upon SLA including LOB notification where required
  • Work with the Change Management Team to complete all required documentation prior to the CAB presentation for CR approval with extra effort to identify and list all impacted applications as well as assign required validation in the portal
  • Communicate status of planned activities and unplanned incidents to business stakeholders, participate in data gathering for root cause analysis and incidents
  • Periodically review Alert criteria and thresholds to ensure quick response time to triggered events
  • Consistently monitor application performance and stability and engage vendor resources as needed for deeper analysis and/or recommendations
  • Work with Development team and Vendors to remediate vulnerabilities within agreed timelines, completing related administrative tasks and providing regular progress reports.
  • Ensure that all test scripts, plans, architectural diagrams, end-point identifications/designations are up-to-date in both the Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan
  • Complete all application assessments/reviews on time for Security audits
  • Ensure that all applications comply with IT and Security Standards up to and including the use of Non-Human IDs, encryption and access control.
  • Analyze log files to assist the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) with investigation of brute attacks and other threat assessments.
  • Strong ability to think on your feet to work thru incidents and problems where documentation may not be readily available and/or vendor support is less than timely
  • Coordinate testing and validation of server patches with LOB engagement

Required Qualifications:
Systems Integrator – ability to implement and maintain vendor software packages
3 – 5 Years minimum experience in a production support role in a distributed application environment
  • Programming Skills using:
  • Ab Initio
  • Java Script and XML
  • Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE)
  • SQL
Familiar with concepts related to:
  • Tivoli Access Manager (TAM)
  • IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM)
  • Web Methods
  • Oracle / Oracle Exadata, Oracle Database Partitioning and Indexing
  • Cognos Reports
  • Connectivity to like and disparate systems
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to process information quickly to work through problems where documentation may not be readily available and/or vendor support is less than timely
  • Ability to effectively manage stress and pressure
  • Maintain a positive disposition during high visibility outages, incidents and LOB escalations
  • Maintain a strong rapport with LOB, Leadership and Vendors
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to communicate with LOB partners in non-technical terms

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of step-up authentication
Knowledge of Continuous Delivery Methodology including multiple environments, code migration flexibility, DevOps Toolsets
Knowledge of XLR or comparable code deployment software
