Job Description

The Mortgage Quality Control Analyst I reports to the Mortgage Quality Control Manager and is a position within the Key Community Bank (KCB) Risk, Controls and Compliance organization. This position is responsible in assisting the KeyBank Mortgage Risk Management Department by performing pre-closing quality control reviews to assess loan quality, prevent loan defects and ensure compliance with federal regulations, bank policies, underwriting and investor guidelines.

Job Description

Evaluation of credit application package and Loan Origination System to ensure completeness before package can proceed to next destination.

Ability to shift review scope upon implementation of new procedures, policy or new products.

Communicate effectively with internal staff to resolve file/input deficiencies and cure issues.

Ensure loan files meet applicable federal and state laws, and internal policies and procedures.

Complete additional due diligence research for noted red flags of loan files.

Maintain appropriate turn-times and production standards by company’s definition.

Responsible for tracking of results and the reporting of trends via spreadsheets or QC software.

Identify process improvements and training needs in the sales, fulfillment and underwriting areas.

Provide detailed reporting of audit findings and performance scorecards for mortgage originations staff.

Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required by management.
