About the Job (Job Brief)

A Learning Consultant is responsible for engaging and consulting with line of business clients, direct manager, Human Resources (HR) partners, and other key stakeholders across Key to develop and implement innovative learning strategies, create and maintain learning content, and design and implement program-based learning solutions that support the business strategy; with a focus on fraud and risk programs and activities.

The Learning Consultant demonstrates operational effectiveness by using solid learning and project management disciplines to assess/design/implement learning solutions using multiple learning methods, assessment and evaluation tools and metrics. The role works with key stakeholders across the enterprise to design and implement enterprise, line of business and role-based fraud and risk learning solutions and programs to employees within targeted lines of businesses as well as the enterprise. The Learning Consultant is responsible for learning and development effectiveness, assessment and evaluation tools and success metrics.

Areas of focus include:
  • Partner with lines of businesses, Enterprise Risk Management and Business Risks & Controls to identify target audiences for various compliance courses.
  • Work with subject-matter-experts to create and build content for compliance courses.
  • Have visibility into fraud and risk initiatives across the enterprise and training implications to ensure content is relevant to target audiences; and delivered at the right time.
  • Align fraud and risk training content and areas of focus with business and risk priorities across the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions

Provides consultation and advice on routine to more complex learning matters related to fraud and risk training; offers consult to leaders in assigned client groups and the enterprise on approaches for handling learning topics and issues.

Demonstrates influencing ability and solid relationship building skills across the Training & Development organization, Business Risk & Controls, Enterprise Risk Management, HR team, and within client groups; able to advise key stakeholders on general learning solution issues and needs.

Advises project and key stakeholders to make informed decisions that drive improved performance through learning interventions. Recognizes issues and opportunities and proactively proposes and presents solutions for learning practices tied to business strategies.

Aligns priorities with enterprise training commitments and business priorities; participates on development and training initiatives, as requested. Keeps apprised of enterprise compliance course changes and ensures course content managed is current.

Proactive with setting timelines and identifying opportunities; self-motivated – drives for results; highly accountable, meets deadlines; understands how to mobilize and align partners and resources. May manage 3rd party relationships.

Leverages metrics and data analytics of learning experiences to objectively analyze the effectiveness of training in order to improve it in the future.

Strong writing skills; can cohesively present and organize information; effectively articulates message. Demonstrated presentation development and delivery skills; comfortable presenting to and influencing at all levels.

Know how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting his/her business and organization with a focus on fraud and risk; is aware of strategies and tactics in the external marketplace.

Works under limited direction/supervision; more autonomy and no supervisory responsibilities.

May facilitate training sessions using multiple delivery methods (e.g. in person, web-conferences, conference calls) and on multiple technology platforms/channels. May deliver targeted training according to business and Training & Development plans to support specific initiatives, including fraud and risk programs and training initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

At least 4 years experience in employee development/training, including facilitation, instructional design, alternative learning methods.

Knowledge and application of ADDIE learning model and Kirkpatrick evaluation methodology

Experience implementing learning and development strategies and programs.

Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in training, learning and development or related business field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions, use problem solving skills and work under deadline pressure.
Experience in leading teams, giving feedback, and helping run team meetings.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex client requirements; strong client focus/client management and follow-up skills; strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize and reprioritize given changing business environment
3+ years of experience in financial services
