Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager – Loan Operations - Conversions, the person in this position is responsible for overseeing and auditing the work performed by the Conversion Specialist and Assistant Conversion Specialist staff. He/she will monitor the output to insure all regulatory, investor guidelines, and internal policies and procedures are met.

Organize and perform quality control audits on the critical fields and daily functions performed by Conversion Specialist and the Assistant Conversion Specialist. Track and monitor the performance and accuracy of the loan setup process with weekly interface meetings with the Portfolio Services - CMBS.

Assist the department manager with tasks related to servicing acquisitions and the Portfolio Services – Warehouse. Consult and follow-up with previous servicers to establish timely flow of information and documentation to insure an accurate transfer of servicing responsibilities and documentation.

Assist the Manager – Loan Operations - Conversions in establishing departmental goals. Continuously evaluate departmental progress in the attainment of the goals. Prepare monthly progress, status reports and performance measure reports for review with management.

Review system-generated edits and perform quality control processes on the correction of any errors in order to maintain accuracy of all vital information for every new loan.

Collaborate with the department manager in determining staffing needs and performance measures. Assist with the interview process for new applicants as directed by department manager.

Train staff members to ensure all procedures are implemented and followed appropriately.

Interact with other departments within the organization to facilitate timely resolution of real estate strategies, issues, and challenges.

Recommend revisions to policies and procedures, and at manager’s discretion, implement subsequent changes to incorporate them into the department workflow.

Conduct necessary follow-up with the appropriate source, whether internal or external to obtain any missing documentation that may be necessary to complete the loan set up.

Assist department manager with special projects, as assigned.

Four-year college degree and/or five year’s commercial real estate experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a high degree of analytical skills.

Overall knowledge of commercial real estate and underwriting.

Knowledge of legal document review and interpretation.

Background in commercial real estate underwriting and closing with some accounting and auditing.

Experience with McCracken/Strategy loan servicing system.

Efficient in the use of standard office software packages, such as Word, Excel Lotus Notes, etc.

Personal Computer

Standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, calculator)

On the job training as required.
