About the Job
This is a virtual/remote position which can be performed from most states within the United states. This position is as a member of the Web Systems Services team responsible for the engineering and support of the WebSphere Application Server environment and various other web application and web server platforms at Key.

Essential Job Functions
Design and implement enterprise class web and application server infrastructure solutions. Provide support for purpose of implementing applications on WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM HTTP Server (IHS) - Interaction and communication with multiple teams - Providing continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency - Defining high-level application platform architectural guidelines - Creating and maintaining documentation across multiple environments on supported technologies
Required Qualifications

Required Skills
Technical - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - 3+ years of IT experience - Thorough Linux knowledge - Working understanding of web and application server technologies and concepts - Working knowledge of relevant network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP, FTP, SSL, PKI, Firewall and DMZ concepts) - Working knowledge of network and operating system security concepts - Working knowledge of network administration and problem determination skills - Working knowledge of operating system administration (Unix/Linux) and problem determination skills - Working understanding of Java - Working knowledge of databases and database concepts (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2) – Working knowledge of scripting and scripting languages (BASH, Perl, Jython, JRuby)

Professional - Working understanding of highly available/fault tolerant solutions - Ability to learn new skills quickly - Proven analytical/problem solving ability - Highly motivated and self-sufficient - Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives, projects and assignments - Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with Web and Application Server Technologies (WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS) - Experience with client connectivity (MS SQL, MQ, DB2, ECI, ODBC, JDBC, etc.) - Experience performing load tests, capacity planning, and application configuration on the following Operating Systems: Linux (Redhat) - Scripting using PERL, Shell, Python, Jython, etc.
