Job Description

Under general supervision, responsible for conducting and documenting moderately complex risk review projects. May provide advice and direction to trainees. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and two to four years of experience.

*​Position may be located in either Cleveland or Buffalo


Solid understanding of risks and controls as well as audit concepts within fieldwork; developing understanding of audit concepts within planning and reporting; able to independently document walkthroughs; emerging ability to lead basic reviews. Clearly and concisely documents observations within workpapers including root cause and impact. Demonstrates ability to communicate test information and initial findings with line of business (LOB) personnel. Foundational understanding of business, industry and regulatory concepts within assigned LOBs; expanding knowledge across businesses and functions. Intermediate business writing skills including strong grammar and sentence structure skills; can cohesively present and organize information; developing formal audit writing skills.

Developing ability to execute multiple assignments by required deadlines; identifies obstacles within the scope of assignments and appropriately escalates; demonstrates initiative to suggest solutions. Demonstrates ability to present information to team and lead. May assist in the preparation or delivery of a formal presentation or training. Developing ability to tailor message for audience within the scope of assignments. Demonstrates ability to build relationships within the scope of assignments; developing relationship building skills with mid-level leadership. Demonstrates influential/challenge skills within team and with clients. Proactively collaborates with others, regardless of team, to achieve desired outcomes. Emerging leadership skills.

The Auditor should possess the following skillsets:
  • Desire to learn Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet established deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and teammates.


At least 2+ years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s Degree

Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) preferred including: Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), Customer Due Diligence (CDD)/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Customer Identification Program (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Funds Transfers, Risk Assessments, and Fraud.

Relevant certifications include:

Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS)

Certified AML and Fraud Professional (CAFP)
